The first International Conference on Engineering Sustainability hosted by the Society for Sustainability and Environmental Engineering (SSEE) Australia, will be held on 31st October – 2 November, 2007 in Perth, Western Australia.

It is expected that Perth will welcome more than 400 professional engineers and scientists from Australia and overseas, practicing across both Government and industry sectors including minerals and petroleum, energy, water, urban development and environment. The proposed Conference themes, Engineering Sustainability and Sustainability in Practice, reflect the increasing recognition of the important role that engineers and scientists play in delivering sustainable solutions across a wide range of activities. These issues are highly topical and the Conference has already attracted strong support from the Western Australian Government and local industry.
